If there’s one vegetarian-friendly delicacy we’ve been dying to try, it’s the vegetarian dessert set at Li Lin Li. Aggie brings her vegetarian friend Taylor along to enjoy this delightful afternoon tea in Taipei. Li Lin Li is not an exclusively vegetarian restaurant, but the chefs Sylvia and Wise are constantly challenging themselves to create new menus for their customers. So, what inspired Li Lin Li to create this vegetarian dessert set? The set menu is inspired by English afternoon tea, and its offerings reflect that theme. The menu includes a savory dessert quiche, a soft scone with jam, and even a floral tea jelly served in a teacup to mimic a cup of Earl Grey tea. Secondly, the chef duo was heavily inspired by Taiwan’s seasonal fruits and vegetables, and particularly their vibrant hues. Therefore, the chefs have organized their ingredients based on color, creating dishes with names such as “Violet,” “Green” and “Yellow.” Come see how host Aggie Hsieh (謝沛恩) and her friend Taylor enjoy their vegetarian-friendly afternoon tea in Taipei!
