Wuliaojian Trail in Sanxia District, New Taipei City, is a rewarding hike filled with many challenging climbs and even more challenging descents. Get ready to explore an adventurous hike in City Escape. Sanxia District in southwest New Taipei City, Taiwan is full of rugged mountains and forests with plenty of amazing trails to explore. This time Andre takes to Wuliaojian Trail, one of the three great northern climbing spots along with Huangdidian in Shiding District and Lizishan in Pingxi District. These trails are renowned for their challenging climbs and are certainly not for the faint of heart. However, the rewards for taking on the challenge of these trails are great with stunning views and ridgelines that will get your adrenaline pumping. Andre starts his hike from the Yuli store trailhead near the Hezuo Bridge bus stop. The trail he explores is a challenging route full of physically demanding climbs and descents with a rewarding ridgeline and a hike full of nature to enjoy. This trail can be reached by local bus from Sanxia, however they do not run frequently. It is recommended to drive, or get a taxi to the trail and take the driver’s phone number so you can call them again when you finish. If you drive, remember to arrive early as only roadside parking is available.
