A former contract employee at Taiwan's health ministry has been indicted on espionage charges.

The woman is accused of accepting bribes, leaking confidential government documents and providing lists of Taiwanese journalists to what prosecutors call a "foreign hostile force." Prosecutors are seeking a 12-year prison sentence. The case is part of a wider investigation that has already seen a former TV anchor and several military personnel indicted over national security breaches.
