Taiwan's Unimicron Suspected of Relabeling China-Made Products

Taiwanese printed circuit board manufacturer Unimicron Technology is being investigated over allegations that products manufactured in China were relabeled as made in Taiwan. Prosecutors in northern Taiwan say they searched the company’s offices and questioned 14 people as part of the probe. Unimicron says it will cooperate with the investigation and that there has been no major impact on its operations.

A prominent Taiwanese printed circuit board manufacturer is suspected of falsely labeling the country of origin of products made in China.

Prosecutors in Taoyuan City in northern Taiwan say they searched the offices of Unimicron Technology and questioned 14 people in connection with the case.

The company is suspected of importing products manufactured in China and relabeling them as made in Taiwan.

Unimicron says it will cooperate with the investigation and that there has been no major impact on its operations.
