Most Taiwan Human Trafficking Cases Tied to Labor, Sexual Exploitation

Taiwan’s Ministry of Justice says authorities investigated around 800 people for suspected human trafficking last year. A new report released Monday found that most cases were linked to labor or sexual exploitation. However, prosecutors indicted only 41% of suspects investigated over the past five years, with many cases dropped because of insufficient evidence.
