Happy Fisherman Ep55: A Trip to the Mysterious Turtle Island
Located on the Northeastern part of Taiwan, the Turtle Island is an outlying island of Taiwan with rich local history. Local residents constructed accommodations with what they had around, namely rocks and bamboos. During the 1800s, Canadian missionary George Leslie Mackay provided medical services on this island. When the Taiwanese government took over the island for strategic purposes, the residents relocated in mainland Taiwan. Follow Leo and learn more about the past of this fascinating destination.
