STS Loves the 80s! - Taiwan Calling Ep8

STS knows the 80s were the best decade for music. The band is heavily influenced by synth-pop and many other beautiful melodies created in that era. Keyboard players are always the starting point to find differing frequencies between the bass or guitar. The lead singer has a blast too because the songs are just badass. STS began as Crystal Zone, when Tomi, Ferrari, and the original lead singer arrived in Taiwan. The three Hongkongers signed with Magic Stone Records, but still didn’t have a record after years of recording. Nevertheless, Taiwan provided unprecedented creative freedom; so, Tomi and Ferrari decided to stay. Ferrari got to like cooking at a local hotel. He settled into his culinary life and soon created an STS brunch inspired by three kinds of potatoes: yellow (Tomi), orange (Ferrari), and purple (Chagi). Lead singer, Chagi, lives to sing. She says the song, “Gotham” is not really all about a kind of criticism. It’s more about how we feel about ourselves. The lyrics suggest that each of us still hopes to fulfill a bit of responsibility towards society once we see that symbol.
