P!SCO is proud of Taiwan’s LGBT community. As staunch advocates for LGBTQ rights, the band proudly displays the rainbow flag at every performance, amplifying their message of inclusion and acceptance. In the early years of the marriage equality movement, they sought to use their performance platform to remind audiences that they’re not alone. The band is usually seen in their signature baseball jerseys signing songs with a theme of cheering for someone. Fans also buy these same uniforms to create a sense of unity at a P!SCO’s baseball themed dance-rock spectacles. The name originates from a love of “Piano” combined with a passion for “Disco” and electronic music. “Piano” plus “Disco”, P!SCO, has since proved that both styles work quite well together. Although everyone is quick to remind the musicians that their band name can be found in many unlikely places… Lots of LGBT people became fans of the show after hearing the song “Teary Eyes”. The song doesn’t explicitly mention LGBT issues, but the song was based on personal experiences of bullying growing up that resonated deeply with queer audiences.
