Keelung is once the most important port of Northern Taiwan. In Keelung, one of the most vital canal for inhabitants and merchants alike used to be the Hsu-chuan Canal. In 1978, buildings began to appear above it and a new commercial ecology formed there ever since. 50 years have passed, and today the buildings above the canal and their inhabitants face one of the biggest threats.
