Chung Yu-feng: One cannot only play the classics
Chung Yu-feng is not only a professional Pipa player, she is a contemporary artist who aims to create. In the past, Pipa is only heard in traditional musical performances. Cheng saw this as an opportunity and put Pipa under the limelight by collaborating with various musicians. Her collaborations extend beyond this island, attending festivals and putting our music with musicians from all over the world. It is her belief in the art of collaborative work, and the potential of traditional musical instruments, that makes her a tale worth telling.
