Sheng-xiang and Our Village
Lin Sheng-xiang is an award-winning singer-songwriter who performs in the Hakka language. Lin's music is a direct repsonse to social movements and environmental issues, and this is partly a result of his upbringing at Meinong, a district in Southern Taiwan. This short documentary shows Lin introducing parts of Meinong that helped create the musician he has become, including his mother and the lyricist he frequently collaborates with.
