2026 Asian Games: Lin Yu-ting Heads to Finals

REPORTER:
Taiwanese Olympic gold medalist Lin Yu-ting is headed to the boxing finals at the 2026 Asian Games.

Lin beat Uzbekistan’s Sitora Turdibekova 5-0 in the women’s 60-kilogram event on Wednesday in Japan. The two have fought before, during Lin’s 2024 Olympic gold medal run. Lin says she remains a fierce competitor.

Lin Yu-ting (BOXER):
When facing this opponent
I wanted to give it my all.
The score may look like I won comfortably, 5-0
but there were still a lot of details I didn’t pay attention to
and allowed her to land some punches.
So I still need to be more careful.

REPORTER:
Lin will face China’s Yang Chengyu in Friday’s final.
