Taiwan’s athletes continue to add to their medal haul at the Asian Games, with weightlifter Chen Wen-huei claiming silver and Kurash athletes Lee Wan-ting and Wang Pin-chun taking silver and bronze, respectively.

Taiwan has added more medals at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.

Weightlifter Chen Wen-huei claimed silver in the women's 69 kilogram division with a combined lift of 232 kilograms.

Taiwan’s Kurash athletes secured two medals. In the women’s 57 kilogram category, Lee Wan-ting bagged silver and Wang Pin-chin won bronze, Taiwan’s first ever Kurash medals at the Games.

Wang Pin-chin (KURASH ATHLETE):  
It was a real surprise.  
I really didn't think I'd make it to the podium.  
But the coach instructed me before the match  
to have confidence.  
They thought I had a chance to get bronze.  
So I gave it a shot.

The wins on Saturday boost Taiwan’s total medal haul to 27, 2 gold, 7 silver and 18 bronze.
