Taiwan’s population is projected to shrink by nearly 50% by 2075, according to the National Development Council. The decline comes as the country grapples with a falling birth rate and a rapidly aging population. While the government has introduced subsidies and other measures to address the demographic challenge, some say the support is not enough.
