Businesses or public spaces that deny entry to seeing eye dogs could face fines.
Taiwan’s supervisory branch, the Control Yuan, is urging the health ministry to act after a string of incidents of businesses not allowing guide dogs to enter their premises. According to current laws, denying service animals entry can be punishable with a fine of up to 1,500 US dollars and a mandatory 4-hour class on compliance.
