Permanent Residence Rules Made Easier for Some Foreigners

The Legislature has passed changes to the law that will see the spouses and children of "high-level" professionals granted easier access to permanent residence in Taiwan. But the changes will not apply to the vast majority of Taiwan’s foreign population, including migrant workers and white-collar workers who don’t meet the standard.
