This time, explore St. Marian’s hiking trail, a challenging hike that offers a reward that made it Instagram-famous. Check out this stunning hike with views that certainly make the pilgrimage worthwhile. This hike takes on Mt. Sanjiaolun, otherwise known as Matcha Mountain. The name was given from a tired Japanese traveler who took a photo and posted it on Instagram. It quickly went viral with people flocking to take photos with the dreamy scene. This trail is beautiful, but be wary, although it is well-maintained, it is still a challenging hike with many stairs and 920 meters elevation gain, or even more if you choose to add another peak. The challenge is more than worth it; this trail boasts spectacular views and some unique stops along the way including St. Marian’s Church and St. Marian’s hut.
