Misty Days of Beitou

Beitou, located between Taipei city and nature, can smell sulfur in all seasons. Here, ancient Japanese onsen bathhouses coexist with modern hot spring hotels. However, there was once another type of hot spring culture that existed in addition to these. “Misty Days of Beitou” take us wandering around this mountain city through the eyes of a lingering ghost. By shifting between fiction and reality, this film weaves precious memories into a fascinating slice of Beitou in the 1970s. _ Director: LIAO Ching-wen Producer: Huang Yi-heng
