A Letter to the King: Salted Papaya
This is a letter of thanks from Bahraini farmer Mohammed Ali to the King. He thanked his Majesty for the support and described his journey to grow Taiwanese Red Lady papaya. From the initial success of the exciting trial planting to the withered papaya trees and the salty papaya that no one wanted to eat during large-scale planting, coupled with the heavy funding gap, all kinds of difficulties once discouraged and frustrated him. However, under the introduction of the Bahrain Ministry of Agriculture, he worked hand in hand with Taiwanese agricultural experts who have cultivated in Bahrain for more than 30 years. Finally, he overcame the severe environmental challenges and successfully made the Red Lady Papaya take root in Bahrain, becoming domestic produce that makes every Bahrain proud. _ Director: Yang Yao-hua Producer: Chih Jou LU
