US President Donald Trump has created a new task force to shape America’s artificial intelligence strategy, with the country’s director of national intelligence set to lead it. Trump named Jay Clayton to head the so-called Super Intelligence Force, which will report directly to the president and his chief of staff. The task force is meant to address AI-related risks while helping ensure the United States maintains its global lead in advanced artificial intelligence. It has four months to assess the risks and opportunities posed by AI and submit recommendations to the US government.
