US and China Agree Tariff Cuts on US$60 Billion of Non-Sensitive Goods

The US and China have announced plans to cut tariffs on US$60 billion of non-sensitive goods, with duties lowered on around US$30 billion worth of imports from each country. The move comes on the back of last week's presidential summit between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping as both sides seek to boost trade and tame inflation. More sensitive areas of trade such as rare earths and high tech remain restricted.
