Tourists from Taiwan are flocking to Japan as the COVID restrictions on both sides lift. But those who’ve opted for Taiwan’s Medigen COVID vaccine must still pay for a PCR test, as Japan has yet to add the vaccine to its approved list. And this has turned the Medigen vaccine into the center of a political dispute.
