Older Drivers Face Stricter License Scrutiny as Renewal Age Lowered to 70
Drivers in Taiwan 75 years and older will soon need to take a medical exam and road safety course as the government lowers the minimum age for license renewal to 70. The new changes follow a deadly accident last year involving a 78-year-old driver in New Taipei. The new policy comes into effect May 31.
