China Steps up Military Activity Around Taiwan During Han Kuang

Taiwan’s defense ministry says Chinese military activity around the country has increased as the annual Han Kuang military exercises enter their ninth day. Taiwan’s defense ministry says it detected 18 Chinese military aircraft, 11 naval vessels and three official ships operating near Taiwan between Wednesday and Thursday morning. Fifteen of the aircraft came closer to Taiwan’s main island.

Taiwan’s defense ministry is reporting a spike in Chinese military activity around the country.

The ministry says it detected 18 Chinese warplanes, 11 naval vessels and 3 official ships operating near Taiwan between Wednesday and Thursday morning. Fifteen of the aircraft came closer to Taiwan’s main island. This comes as Taiwan's military holds its annual large-scale Han Kuang Exercise, now in its ninth day.
