The fifth day of the annual Han Kuang drills saw Taiwan’s military practice strengthening its ability to coordinate and deliver concentrated firepower. In Penghu, the navy’s mobile missile launchers simulated an encounter with enemy targets using anti-ship missiles. Meanwhile in Miaoli, in central Taiwan, troops practiced called in artillery strikes against a beach landing.

The fifth day of the annual Han Kuang drills saw Taiwan’s military practice strengthening its ability to coordinate and deliver concentrated firepower.
On the Penghu Islands in the Taiwan Strait, the navy’s mobile missile launchers moved into tactical positions with Hsiung Feng anti-ship missiles to strike enemy targets.
Meanwhile in Miaoli, in central Taiwan, troops practiced reacting to a landing at the coast. Forward observers spotted enemy forces on the beach and called in artillery strikes.
