Speaking to Bloomberg, Economics Minister Kung Ming-hsin says the first park is planned for Texas, with each expected to cost up to 4 billion US dollars. The parks would help small and medium-sized suppliers set up US operations to support bigger tech companies including TSMC and Foxconn.

The announcement comes as TSMC evaluates potential cooperation with Elon Musk's Terafab project in Texas.
