Cheng I-ching: From Setbacks to Success in Table Tennis
Cheng I-ching, a table tennis veteran, joined forces with Lin Yun-ju in 2019, aiming for the Tokyo Olympics mixed doubles event and securing Taiwan's first Olympic bronze. Inspired by her older sister, Cheng Pin-wei, also a table tennis player, Cheng's journey into the sport began in primary school. Despite setbacks like an injury at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and missing the 2012 London Olympics, Cheng persevered with the support of her sister and her club. Her dedication and passion for table tennis continue to drive her as she looks ahead to the 2024 Paris Olympics, determined to surpass her previous achievements.
