The US military is set to deploy Typhon mid-range missile systems to Japan for two upcoming exercises.

The missile systems, which can fire Tomahawk cruise missiles over 1,500 kilometers, will be used in joint exercises next week, and again during joint training in September. They will be set up at an air base in southern Japan.
