According to Reuters, prices for new orders have risen by up to 15%. That’s as US export restrictions have increased China's reliance on Samsung, while global AI demand squeezes TSMC’s capacity. That’s given the South Korean firm more leverage to raise prices.
According to tech research firm Counterpoint, Samsung got 7% of global foundry revenue in the first quarter of 2026, versus more than 70% for TSMC.
