Manila Protests Over Chinese Floating Structure at Scarborough Shoal
The Philippines has lodged a formal diplomatic protest over a Chinese floating structure discovered near the disputed Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea. This follows observations by monitoring group SeaLight, which identified an object in the area through commercial satellite imagery. The structure reportedly measured around six by six meters, appeared to be crewed and had what looked like an antenna.
