Foreign ministers from the Quad group of nations (the United States, India, Australia and Japan) have announced new Indo-Pacific initiatives focused on maritime security, infrastructure and energy cooperation. The group revealed plans for a new maritime surveillance partnership, a joint Fiji port infrastructure project and a US-hosted fuel security forum aimed at strengthening regional supply chains.
