Gunshots Heard in Philippine Senate Building
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is calling for calm after gunshots were heard in the Senate building in Manila. Earlier this week, Senator Ronald dela Rosa holed himself up in the Senate. He’s fleeing an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. Prior to the shooting, Dela Rosa urged supporters online to help block his arrest. There are no reports of casualties and local media says Dela Rosa has now left the Senate building.
