Speaking at an exclusive press conference in Taipei, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang points to expanding partnerships in Taiwan, including working with Taiwanese chip company MediaTek on a new AI chip as it pushes into the PC market.

REPORTER:

The AI industry is moving beyond screens and computers.

That was the final message from Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang here in Taipei.

Jensen Huang (CEO, NVIDIA):

The perfect example is self-driving cars.

Another example is humanoid robots.

And those days are coming, and it's going to be a great, great growth opportunity for all of us.

REPORTER:

Speaking at Nvidia’s GTC press conference during COMPUTEX, Huang addressed concerns about whether Nvidia can meet booming demand. He says the company has enough supply to support expansion, but that capacity is tight across the industry.

Huang also pointed to Nvidia’s growing partnerships in Taiwan, including collaboration with MediaTek on a new AI chip, as Nvidia seeks to enter the PC market.

Jensen Huang (CEO, NVIDIA):

We have enough supply for very robust growth.

However, we are supply-constrained.

For example, this is one of my partners today.

I can't do my chip without MediaTek's help.

And they've managed the supply chain for the SoC.

So, so notice they're now part of my supply chain, and they’re incredibly supportive.

He is also facing questions about China. Huang gave no new timeline for when Nvidia's most advanced chips could return to the Chinese market. The restrictions were part of earlier efforts by Washington to limit Beijing’s access to AI computing power.

It comes after he joined US President Donald Trump’s business delegation to Beijing last month, meeting top Chinese leaders.

Jensen Huang (CEO, NVIDIA):

The United States has licensed our chips to be sold to China, and we're going to try to serve that market the best we can.  And so when they're, whenever they're ready for us to address the market opportunities there, we'll be ready.

REPORTER:

China remains one of Nvidia's biggest potential markets.

But Beijing is yet to approve the sale of some of the company’s advanced chips in China, as it works to foster its own chip suppliers.

While Nvidia waits for greater access to the Chinese market, its new partnerships show it is betting that demand for AI infrastructure will keep growing.
