American Institute in Taiwan Director Raymond Greene has announced a new initiative to jointly develop semiconductor talent between Taiwan and the US. The program includes Fulbright Semiconductor Scholarships for two master's students to study at a top Taiwan science university, along with a grant to the University of Arizona to support study-abroad opportunities, as the state is home to TSMC's growing US chipmaking hub. Taiwan Education Minister Cheng Ying-yao says the partnership will help both countries meet future talent needs in AI, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies.
