Hong Kong’s Lok Yuen Wins Tapout Island BJJ Tournament in Taipei

Grapplers from across Taiwan and Hong Kong competed in Taipei on Saturday at the fifth Tapout Island Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament. Hong Kong’s Lok Yuen of Arch No-Gi Jiu Jitsu took the top prize, submitting Will Mounger of host team AZ Fight Club with a rear-naked choke in the final. Teams from across Taiwan put in strong performances, including Tenth Planet Taipei and Cobra Ka'i. Tapout Island is one of several Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu promotions operating in Taiwan, reflecting the sport’s growing popularity in the country.
