Four of Taiwan's top boxers, including Olympic bronze medalist Huang Hsiao-wen and 19-year-old rising star Peng Chia-feng, are taking to the ring at this week's Taipei City Cup Invitational Tournament. Taiwan's boxers compete ahead of Asian Games

REPORTER:  
Four of Taiwan's Asian Games boxers are competing in the Taipei City Cup Invitational Tournament this week. Up-and-comer Peng Chia-feng won his first bout on Thursday.

Peng Chia-feng (BOXER):  
I am only nineteen right now.  
Although I feel like I'm still quite young  
and shouldn't put too much pressure on myself  
and even though I want to win  
an Asian Games medal for Taiwan,  
I'm trying to stay loose and to compete at my normal level,  
and execute on my training. That's all.

REPORTER:  
Peng defeated Australia's Dane Malcolm Bolt by unanimous decision in the men‘s 50 to 55 kilogram weight class. The tournament, which ends Sunday, is a last chance for Taiwan's hopefuls to sharpen their skills before the Asian Games next month in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Huang Hsiao-wen, who won a bronze medal for Taiwan at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, says her preparations are on track.

Huang Hsiao-wen (BOXER):  
Right now, my focus is getting myself  
in the best possible condition.  
Whether it’s making weight or working on technique or fitness  
I'm just trying to maintain.  
Then, toward the end  
we’ll focus on likely opponents  
and do some targeted simulations.  
as the final stage of preparation.

I am only nineteen right now.

and shouldn't put too much pressure on myself, and even though I really want to win and bring home a medal from the Olympics  
or Asian Games for Taiwan,  
I'm treating this as a chance to relax, play to my normal level,  
and execute what I usually practice. That's all.
