The defense mobilization agency says network outages will be simulated as part of the Urban Resilience Air Defense Exercises. It aims to practice responses to simulated network congestion, leaving only voice and SMS services available. The drills will take place from August 7th to 10th across the country.

Fourteen cities and counties will include mobile internet disruptions in next month's civilian air raid drills. The digital affairs ministry and national communications will simulate network outages as part of the Urban Resilience Air Defense Exercises, the all-out defense mobilization agency announced Sunday. The drills will take place from Aug 7 to Aug 10 across the country. During the drills, residents will be required to shelter in place or face heavy fines.
