Defense Ministry Orders Investigation Into Hack at CSIST

Taiwan’s defense minister has ordered an investigation after the Chung-Shan Institute, the country’s main military-affiliated research hub, was hacked. The institute initially attributed hundreds of expired procurement notices being sent to suppliers to an AI cybersecurity tool, but later said an external contractor’s software had been breached.
