Taiwan's state-backed shipbuilder CSBC has announced a partnership with American defense startup Havoc to build uncrewed surface vessels in Taiwan. The deal pairs CSBC's shipbuilding and production capacity with Havoc's autonomous technology, aligning with a US National Defense Authorization Act provision on joint production of uncrewed systems with Taiwan. The partnership is part of Taipei's push to boost domestic drone production capabilities.
