Taiwan’s defense ministry is reporting a spike in military activity around the country.

The ministry says it detected 21 aircraft, 10 naval vessels and five official ships operating near Taiwan between Saturday and Sunday morning. Thirteen of the aircraft came closer to Taiwan’s main island. This comes just days after Taiwan's defense ministry warned of increasing military threat to the country.
