That’s according to new figures released Sunday by the government’s statistics bureau. The report shows income rising across all age groups, with the strongest growth for those already earning high wages. Officials noted several factors behind the positive trend. These included Taiwan’s booming GDP, low unemployment, and increases to the minimum wage. Average household spending also increased last year by 3.6 percent to more than 28,000 US dollars.

A survey by the government’s statistical bureau found average personal annual wages rose to more than 23 thousand US dollars in 2025 across various age groups. It said strong economic growth, a stable labor market, lower unemployment and minimum wage increases helped lift earnings and disposable incomes. Average household consumption expenditure also increased 3.6 percent year-on-year to more than 28,000 US dollars.
