Taiwan July Exports Surge 33% Amid Strong AI Demand

July exports from Taiwan jumped 33% thanks to demand for AI and electronics components. Total exports were about US$75 billion for the month, falling short of predictions but still the third-highest month for exports on record.

AI demand boosted Taiwan's exports to about 75 billion US dollars in July, up 33 percent from a year earlier.

Though the figure fell short of expectations, it was still Taiwan’s third-highest month for exports on record.

Sales of electronic components hit a new high of nearly 28 billion US dollars.

Total exports for the first seven months of year are up nearly 45 percent year-on-year.
