Taiwan's Indie Music and Night Markets Heading to Finland
Taiwan’s rising indie music stars are preparing for a major debut in Finland this July as the Formosa-Finland Fest expands for its second year. Moving to Helsinki’s prominent Narinkatori Square, the outdoor festival will feature independent and Indigenous artists alongside a Taiwan-themed market.

Some of Taiwan’s hottest indie bands are gearing up to debut in Finland in July. Foreign minister UNIDENTIFIED PERSON is cheering them on ahead of the festival’s second year in Helsinki.

Finland is a major hub of heavy metal music.

Taiwan also has a growing indie music scene.
REPORTER:
Cultural diplomacy is the best way for Taiwan to get closer to Europe.

This year, we’re expanding the event and holding it outdoors.

We’re all looking forward to it.

It’s the first time the event will include an indigenous artist. Two Finnish artists will also hold shows in Taiwan as part of the exchange. And for the first time, a Taiwan-themed market will bring local food and night market specialties to Helsinki.
