Etomidate Reclassified as Category 1 Narcotic, Sale Punishable By Death
The manufacture, transport or sale of etomidate is now a capital crime in Taiwan. The medical anesthetic sometimes found in illegal e-cigarettes has been detected in several traffic accidents in recent years. Those found to possess the drug could be jailed up to three years.
