Hualien Officials Under Investigation for Inflating Flood Evacuee Numbers
Prosecutors are investigating four local officials from flood-hit Guangfu township who are under suspicion of inflating the official number of people evacuated. Township chief Lin Ching-shui is in detention, while the three others were released on bail.
