Prosecutors Bring New Charges in Ongoing TSMC Trade Secrets Theft Case
Prosecutors have brought new charges in an ongoing case involving the alleged theft of trade secrets from TSMC. Three people, including two former TSMC workers, a Tokyo Electron employee, and Tokyo Electron itself, have been indicted on national security and destruction of evidence charges. The three people face prison sentences of 1-8 years, while the Japanese chipmaker faces a fine of nearly US$800,000.
