Typhoon Bavi Approaches Taiwan, Thousands of Residents Evacuated
Emergency response officials and residents in northern and eastern Taiwan are placing sandbags and stocking up on groceries as Typhoon Bavi approaches. With much of the country cancelling work and school on Friday, high waves and bursts of rain could be felt throughout the day. Bavi is expected to make its strongest impact on Friday night.
