Typhoon Dolphin Disrupts Travel in Taiwan

Typhoon Dolphin uprooted trees and left travel operators playing catch-up after passing Taiwan over the weekend.
More than 100 flights were canceled and ferry routes suspended. There were also reports of minor incidents due to falling debris. Weather reports show there are now two other tropical storms and one tropical depression out in the Pacific, but none are likely to affect Taiwan.
Typhoon Dolphin has left damaged structures and toppled trees after passing Taiwan Sunday.
There were scattered reports of injuries due to falling trees or objects, but no reports of serious damage. But while the storm had a generally mild impact, it did disrupt transport, with well over 100 flights canceled as the storm headed towards China’s east coast and dissipated. There are now two other tropical storms and one tropical depression out in the Pacific, but none are likely to affect Taiwan accord to the latest forecasts.
