Hsieh Sen-shan is a creator of hand-painted billboards in Taiwan's northern city of Taoyuan. Born in Taichung in 1964, he apprenticed at the Eastern Advertising Agency at the age of 15, and during Taiwan's cinematic heyday of the '60s and '70s, he was busy painting billboards for seven different movie theaters at the same time. Since then, digital printing has pretty much destroyed his industry, but Hsieh still creates handmade billboards for a small cinema in Jhongli.
