The candidates include a world-renowned boxer, a former TV and film star and the son of a former dictator. One thing is certain about next year’s Philippines presidential election campaign – it will be a heated political fight. The current president, Rodrigo Duterte is barred from standing for a second term. But many eyes are on his daughter, who says she doesn’t want to be president even though polls put her as the favorite. Louise Watt takes a look at the main contenders in the ring.
